I had the exciting opportunity to work on 5 environments and 2 characters for the game No Players Online after having met one of the developers at Gamescom. These environments represent memories of John where he thinks back about the life he had with his wife Sarah – remembered from only one perspective.

The game was made in the built-in render pipeline in Unity and the decision was made to only use 1 texture map per object (albedo only), this was a nice challenge and baking all light information into the textures helped with the feeling of it still looking somewhat PBR.

The production time was quite short, having made everything in just a few weeks. Nevertheless, this is a very special game and I feel really honored to have been able to contribute to it!

John A-Pose. The clothes were simulated inside of Marvelous Designer and the designs are based on reference images from the 1970s, the era that the game takes place.

Sarah A-Pose.

A collection of some of the props I made for this project.
The trees and plants were all made using SpeedTree.
