Ties Groen (1998) is a Dutch interdisciplinary artist.
Recurring themes central to his work are loss, obscure horror, fading memories, yearning and self-recognition. Through means of personal accounts on these themes and the relatability of the subjects, he strives to provoke these senses into the viewer through video games, drawings and poetry. He creates immersive and intricate worlds using abstract and surrealistic imagery where the goal is to invoke a complex sense of feeling to the viewer, often combining 3D and 2D techniques to do so.
In 2024 he graduated with honors from St. Joost Academy of Art & Design with an experimental video game titled Symbiosis. He is currently working on his debut game SKINFACE alongside being an artist at game studio Galaxy Grove.
