Ties Groen (1998) is a multidisciplinary artist from The Netherlands focused on creating intricate and rich stories and experiences through video games and animations. His work is mainly themed around surrealism and dark fantasy. Through a constant drive to reinvent himself he creates work that isn’t similar to something he would have made previously.
Ties’ creative journey started off with studying media design, creating websites and logos for clients but gradually transformed into something more thematic and expressive as a way to escape the monotony of corporate identities. In 2020 he started studying at St. Joost School of Art & Design where he dove head first into illustration, eventually ending up at switching from 2D to 3D entirely in a means to expand his horizon. 2024 saw Ties graduating with honors from the aforementioned study.
